FLOWER DRESS IRO // METALLIC BOOTIES LOLO BALLERINA’S // RED SHOPPER ENES // CHUNKY BRACELETS ANNICK VDW

Floral patterns are a returning Spring favourite, but this season they’re literally everywhere. And we’are huge fan. However, there’s this one huge pitfall of ending up with a dull and too cutesie outfit – so not our thing, right? Luckily, it’s pretty easy to spice up your florals and give them a little edge, if you just keep these few things in mind.

– GO BIG OR GO HOME

We predicted that big sleeves were going to be, eh, big this year, and that’s what we adored most about this IRO dress. The general cut of the dress, with a high collar and midi length, is fairly traditional, but the wide ruffled sleeves make it super playful.

– GOLDEN GOALS

There’s nothing like a metallic accent to spice up an outfit, so we knew these golden booties would be the quintessential punch that this look needed. Since metallic has an unmistakable futuristic vibe to it, it outrules any ‘old-fashioned’ associations that a flower print might trigger. And if you go with a midi heeled version there’s no suffering involved!

Are you into this year’s florals trend? Or do you find it cliché to wear a flower print during Spring?
