– HOORAY HOORAY! THERE’S A BABY COMING –

Yesss, we’re not surprised. Since these two lovebirds were already for a few years together, and we were secretly waiting for a mini – fashionata kiddo. And so it happened! We’re so happy that Sofie is doing great during her pregnancy and love to get to know more about her babybump style tips.

1 / THE PENCIL SKIRT WILL SAVE YOU

I’ve never been that much into super tight pieces, as I like to be as comfy in my outfits as possible, but I’ve found that accentuating your waist and emerging bump is just kind of necessary to become a flattering look. Whether it’s by adding a belt to a skirt or by going with a pencil skirt as the main piece of your outfit: it’ll make you look sleek and sophisticated! You obviously want to go with a slightly stretchy variant that keeps both mama & baby happy.

2 / SWEATSHIRTS CAN GET AWAY WITH CUTE BABY REFERENCES

Yes, including baby references into your maternity outfit are a no-no, and yes, it turned out to be totally irresistible. But the good news is: if you go with a sleek classy outfit, the sweatshirt-with-a-wink will actually add a bit of casual that’ll make (most) people smile instead of roll their eyes.

3 / ADD A BIT OF SEXY

This was the 1 thing I promised myself to do when I considered dressing as a mama-to-be: to add a bit of an edge to every outfit, as I’ve always done. There’s nothing like dark nails and red patent leather booties to spruce up your outfit. And if you’re worried about blending in your statement booties with the rest of your look: pick out a piece with a subtle colour reference (such as the maroon stripes of this blouse).
